We are now looking for a Department Manager to join us on a full-time, permanent basis. The Role As a Department Manager, you will oversee the efficient running of a key department within the logistics function, ensuring high standards of customer service and operational excellence. Specifically, you will lead, develop and manage your team to ensure departmental goals are achieved, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality service. You will allocate tasks, manage logistics and monitor KPIs to optimise the departments overall performance. You will also take ownership of stock control, housekeeping, returns processing, seasonal planning, and goods inwards operations while ensuring all customer interactions are professional and courteous. Additionally, you will: - Monitor team performance, holiday planning, timekeeping and shift allocation - Ensure all customer orders and communications are accurate, timely and professional - Maintain accurate records, manage stock movements and uphold housekeeping standards About You To be considered as a Department Manager, you will need: - Experience in team leadership and people management, ideally in a logistics, retail, or operations setting - A strong background in warehouse, stock control, or goods inwards operations - Experience with customer service standards and handling customer issues in a professional manner Other organisations may call this role Logistics Team Manager, Operations Supervisor, Fulfilment Manager, or Distribution Team Leader.
