ABOUT THE JOB (French version down below) We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled Product Developer to join our Store Design team . In this role, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing construction systems, materials, and production methods specific to our Retail environments. You will ensure our design concepts are translated into scalable, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions that reflect our brand’s standards of excellence. WHAT YOU WILL DO Product Development : Translate retail design concepts into feasible and cost-effective construction systems and material specifications. Technical Innovation : Explore and implement new materials, manufacturing methods, and sustainable alternatives tailored to luxury retail environments. Prototyping and Testing : Lead the development and testing of prototypes, ensuring alignment with design intent, performance standards, and durability. Documentation : Develop comprehensive technical documentation, including product specifications, installation guidelines, and material standards. Supplier Collaboration : Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to refine products, manage lead times, and ensure production quality in collaboration with Project Managers in charge of store projects. Cost Analysis : Break down costs by component, identify optimization opportunities, and contribute to value engineering efforts. Sustainability : Identify and promote the use of sustainable materials and processes in line with company goals. Quality Control : Define technical standards and conduct reviews to ensure consistency across regions and projects. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR IN OUR NEXT TEAM MEMBER Degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in product development for retail, architecture, or furniture design. Strong technical understanding of materials, joinery, finishes, and construction methods. Full proficiency with CAD and 3D modeling tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Sketchup). Experience with production techniques and working with manufacturers. Excellent problem-solving and project coordination skills. A strong eye for detail and a passion for innovation and craftsmanship. Experience in cost analysis and value engineering is a plus. Understanding of sustainability principles and material certifications is a bonus. WORKING CONDITIONS Full-time job based at Byredo´s Head Quarters in Paris. This position requires the ability to travel to sites and vendor locations. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, if needed to meet project deadlines. Résumé du poste Nous recherchons un(e) Développeur Produit proactif(ve) et techniquement qualifié(e) pour rejoindre notre équipe Store Design . À ce poste, vous serez responsable du développement et de l’optimisation des systèmes de construction, des matériaux et des méthodes de production spécifiques à nos environnements Retail. Vous veillerez à ce que nos concepts de design soient traduits en solutions évolutives, rentables et de haute qualité, reflétant les standards d’excellence de notre marque. Principales responsabilités Développement produit : Traduire les concepts de design Retail en systèmes de construction et spécifications matériaux réalisables et optimisés en termes de coûts. Innovation technique : Rechercher et intégrer de nouveaux matériaux, méthodes de fabrication et alternatives durables adaptées aux environnements de Retail de luxe. Prototyping & Testing : Piloter le développement et les tests de prototypes, en garantissant leur conformité avec l’intention de design, les standards de performance et de durabilité. Documentation : Élaborer une documentation technique complète : fiches produits, guides d’installation, standards matériaux, etc. Coordination fournisseurs : Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les fournisseurs/fabricants pour affiner les produits, gérer les délais de production et garantir la qualité, en coordination avec les Project Managers en charge. Analyse des coûts : Décomposer les coûts par composant, identifier les pistes d’optimisation et contribuer aux efforts de value engineering. Duarbilité : Identifier et promouvoir l’utilisation de matériaux et processus durables, en cohérence avec les objectifs de l’entreprise. Control qualité : Définir des standards techniques et mener des revues qualité afin d’assurer la cohérence entre les régions et projets. Profil recherché Diplôme en Product Design , Industrial Design , Engineering ou domaine équivalent. Expérience confirmée en développement produit dans les secteurs du Retail, de l’architecture ou du design de mobilier. Solide compréhension technique des matériaux, assemblages, finitions et méthodes de construction. Maîtrise complète des outils de modélisation 2D/3D : SolidWorks , AutoCAD , SketchUp . Expérience des techniques de production et collaboration avec des fabricants. Excellentes compétences en résolution de problèmes et en coordination de projets. Sens aigu du détail, goût pour l’innovation et l’artisanat. Expérience en cost analysis et value engineering appréciée.
