Job Description The role involves managing, developing, and growing regional key distributor and NHS Cardiometabolic accounts as outlined in the country strategic plans. The position also focuses on generating new business through local market access initiatives in both public and private sectors. Working closely with the National Sales Manager, the role entails collaboration with local government, policy makers, and decision makers to develop new patient pathways and funding sources, supporting national market access initiatives at a local level. Additionally, the role aims to identify new revenue channels in direct sales to the NHS and private sectors, ensuring retention of existing high-value accounts through commercial excellence and strong account management. Responsibilities Manage key accounts to retain profitable business and meet sales and profitability targets. Identify opportunities and secure new business in high/medium potential areas. Manage the full sales cycle efficiently to move customers through the sales funnel. Identify decision makers and stakeholders across procurement, patient groups, and corporate channels. Network to build business cases and value propositions for positive tender outcomes. Develop advocates and key opinion leaders to support business growth. Collaborate with internal teams to enhance offerings and value propositions. Support implementation and adoption of large project wins. Lead the tendering process for prioritized accounts. Organize time effectively to maximize engagement with priority accounts and achieve activity KPIs. Coordinate with Customer Services and Support teams to enhance customer experience. Conduct account reviews and maintain accurate administrative records. Main Accountabilities Achieve regional sales, growth, and margin targets. Place instruments in target new business accounts. Support training and implementation of new business initiatives. Improve utilization in high-potential accounts. Manage tenders and contracts effectively. Secure market access and funding success within regional NHS bodies. Expand the corporate portfolio in identified channels. Take responsibility for personal development and success. Maintain professional conduct and serve as a role model for junior team members. General Accountabilities Comply with company policies and procedures to meet statutory, quality, and business standards aligned with Abbott Rapid Diagnostics' strategy and objectives. Ensure health, safety, and environmental performance through adherence to EHS programs, OEC, regulations, and standards. Background/Education Qualifications: Degree or higher in Business, Biological Science, or related field preferred. Knowledge and Experience Experience managing multiple stakeholders in lengthy sales cycles exceeding 9 months. Skills Proven sales success, strong networking and relationship-building skills, ability to construct compelling business cases with ROI analysis, tender writing, and proposals. Knowledge of the Italian healthcare system, funding routes, and patient pathways. Proficient in engaging with primary and secondary customers at all levels. Personal Qualities Team-oriented with a competitive drive to exceed expectations. Genuine concern for team and business success.
