Job Description: SAP EWM Consultant Job Title: SAP EWM Consultant (Extended Warehouse Management) Job Type: Permanent Work Mode: Onsite Location: Whitefield, Bangalore Experience: 4 Years (Typically required for a consultant role) About the Role : As an SAP EWM Consultant, you will be responsible for the functional design, configuration, and support of the SAP Extended Warehouse Management module and its integration with S/4HANA. You will work closely with business stakeholders to understand warehouse operations requirements, translate them into functional specifications, and configure the EWM and relevant S/4HANA components accordingly. You will also collaborate with development and testing teams and support deployment activities to ensure successful project delivery. Key Responsibilities : - Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements related to warehouse management processes. - Write clear, detailed functional specifications for EWM-related enhancements, reports, or interfaces. - Create and maintain comprehensive configuration documents for the SAP EWM module and integrated S/4HANA settings. - Perform hands-on configuration and customization activities in both SAP EWM and relevant parts of S/4HANA (e.g., integration settings with EWM), covering areas such as: - Warehouse structure (Storage Types, Sections, Bins, Activity Areas) - Master data setup (Product Master, Packaging Specifications, Resource Management) - Goods Receipt and Putaway strategies - Stock Removal strategies and Picking methods - Internal Warehouse Processes (Replenishment, Rearrangement, Physical Inventory) - Posting Changes and Stock Transfers - Wave Management and Warehouse Order creation - Shipping and Loading processes - Integration points between EWM and S/4HANA (e.g., Delivery Processing, PP/QM integration) - Provide functional guidance and support to the development team (e.g., for custom RF transactions, enhancements). - Collaborate with the testing team to develop test scenarios, review test cases, and support execution for EWM processes. - Support deployment-related tasks, including preparing test data, executing cut-over activities, and providing post-go-live support for EWM. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues reported by business users in the SAP EWM module. - Identify opportunities for process improvements and system optimization within EWM. - Ensure adherence to project methodologies, documentation standards, and quality procedures. Required Skills and Experience : - 4 years of hands-on experience as an SAP EWM Functional Consultant. - Proven expertise in SAP EWM configuration and customization across various functionalities. - Strong understanding and experience in configuring the integration between SAP EWM and S/4HANA (or SAP ECC). - Experience in writing detailed Functional Specifications and Configuration Documents. - Ability to work closely with technical teams (e.g., ABAP developers specializing in EWM developments like RF). - Experience in supporting testing cycles (Unit Testing, Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing) for EWM processes. - Familiarity with deployment activities, including test data management and cut-over tasks. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to warehouse processes and system configuration. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with business users and technical teams. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an onsite environment.
