Job Description Job Description Pay Rate: $28/hr - $32/hr - depends on experience (Hourly Pay Rates based on Experience: Entry to Mid-Level $28 – 32/hr; High-Level $32 or higher, but only based on a high level of experience. Hours: day shift 7:00am -3:30pm, Monday through Friday The temporary shift M – F 7:00 am – 3:30 pm for the first 2 – 3 months for new hire training. Once completed, the worker will be assigned to Shift: TBD: Our team of 55 supports the facilities 24x7. The individual will be assigned to A, B, C D, compressed shift (7:00am - 7:30pm or 7:00pm – 7:30am). Length: 1 year contract with the possibility of extension or conversion to full-time depending on business needs and performance 100% onsite; does not require candidates to be fully vaccinated however, this may change in the near future. The final offer will be determined by hiring manager. NOTE: Interviews are held virtually Monday - Thursday only. 3 must haves: GED/HS diploma Previous experience in Manufacturing, Gas and Oil, Chemical Technician, Industrial Mechanics, Production Technician, Bio-Tech, Automotive and Mechanics, Waste and Waste Water Treatment, Power Plant, or Refinery this could be a great fit for you OR recently retired/discharged from military Must be able to pass client’s onboarding requirements along with a respiratory fit test THIS IS NOT A MATERIAL HANDLER POSITION We are seeking contract professionals for Megasys Technician roles supporting electronics client in Sunnyvale. This is a challenging, hands-on, rewarding job opportunity for people who want to join a growing business in a career role. This contract engagement offers on-the-job training for quickly learning critical technical skills to excel in this role and be considered for conversion to permanent, as determined by supervisors and business needs. Technicians work on systems and maintain the supply of chemicals and gases to a semiconductor manufacturing environment that makes the chips used in electronic devices such as smartphones, LEDs, and flat-screen TV's Technicians will be responsible for the safe operation of assigned chemical and/or gas distribution systems, with duties including: • Handling and change-out of gas, chemical, and slurry containers • Gas and chemical equipment troubleshooting and preventative/repair maintenance • Computer operations to support job functions and customer needs • Support of quality systems Physical Attributes: • Occasionally climbing ladders (utilizing fall protection) • In some cases, Technicians must wear a Site Supplied Contained Breathing Air Respirator (this type of respirator provides air from a cylinder through a mask connected to the cylinder) while working with chemicals (approx. 10-15 minutes • Basic lifting (up to 40lbs) • Bending of the knees and overhead reaching • PPE made available to workers includes safety glasses, hard hats, earplugs, chemical aprons, gloves, etc. Workers will be provided with vouchers to purchase safety boots, which they are required to wear Minimum Qualifications: • High School Diploma or GED equivalent Preferred Qualifications: • Prior experience in maintenance or as an equipment technician or in a mechanical or electronic environment is a plus • Previous experience with chemical and gas distribution equipment is helpful • Military training is welcomed • Strong technical aptitude • Excellent communication skills • Proficient with MS Office Suite
