Locum Physician Assistant (PA) - Emergency Medicine in Florida

Job Title: Advanced Practice ProviderProfession: Physician Specialty: APP Duration: 12 months Shift: 10-12 shifts per month Hours per Shift: Varies (6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.; 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.; 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.) Experience: Minimum of 1 year in Emergency Room, 2 years preferred License: Current and valid APP license Certifications: Relevant certifications as required Must-Have: - Emergency Room experience, ideally level 2 or greater - Availability to work 60-120 hours per month - Ability to see an average of 1.7 patients per hour Description: This position is for an Advanced Practice Provider with Emergency Room experience. Applicants should have a minimum of 1 year of experience, with 2 years preferred. Providers are expected to work 10-12 shifts per month. Shifts do not need to be consecutive, but availability for the required hours is necessary. Preferred experience includes working in environments where metrics are important. The provider will see an average of 1.7 patients per hour. The department averages approximately 155 patients per day, including about 30 pediatric patients. The admission rate is around 25%. The facility sees approximately 55,000 patients per year. Coverage includes 42 hours a day of physician oversight. Locum providers should be able to work all shifts as needed. Throughout the summer, shifts will transition to a standard 12-hour format.
