Customs Lead

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Customs Special Procedure Lead to oversee key customs operations. This role supports critical phases of the product lifecycle and is fundamental to maintaining both operational efficiency and regulatory compliance. You will be the go-to expert for managing Customs Special Procedures, including: * Overseeing Inward Processing (IP): controlling entries, maintaining records, managing discharge periods, and ensuring timely Bill of Discharge submissions to HMRC. * Managing Customs Warehousing (CW): ensuring accurate entry, control, and discharge of goods. * Handling Temporary Importation processes and compliance within HMRC timelines. * Supervising Outward Processing (OP): ensuring proper documentation, export/reimport handling, and compliance within throughput periods. * Advising on necessary amendments to customs authorisations. Your leadership will help ensure consistent, compliant, and optimised customs practices across the organisation. You'll also have the chance to gain or build on qualifications in customs compliance. What We're Looking For: * Strong experience managing Customs Special Procedures in a corporate, professional services, or HMRC setting * In-depth understanding of HMRC customs regulations * High attention to detail, strong integrity, and ability to work independently * Excellent communication and reporting abilities * Experience with customs software is desirable Holding or working toward a professional qualification in Customs Compliance is preferred For more information, please get in touch with Ella
