Prospero Teaching are currently seeking a teaching assistant with experience supporting SEN in Early Years. This is a full time role to start after Easter. The strongest applicant will have confidence in leading a group of children in absence of their teacher, reading, and writing sessions and will have good behavioural management skills. CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS Location - sK8 Early Years Teaching Assistant Type of work Position - SEN Teaching Assistant Type of work - Long Term April 2025 Duration / Likely Duration - ongoing End date (if applicable) - End of the academic year - onwards Contract type - Ongoing Full time/part time - Full time Minimum rate of pay - Minimum of £104 per day. Hours - 8:30 am - 3:30pm EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS Teaching Assistant qualification or higher/equivalent. Previous experience working in a UK school. Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as some training is provided). Small amount of information about the role. The role is full time in the Hive, which is our alternative provision set up for complex needs pupils who are non verbal autistic children in year 1 or 2. The role entails intimate care as one of the pupils wears nappies so needs changing throughout the day when necessary. There is a programme of activities based on speech and language targets, sensory play and occupational therapy. Tasks are very limited due to the nature of the children's high needs.
