Barbering Lecturer (Level 2) – Temporary Sickness Cover Location: Derbyshire Contract: Temporary, until the end of the academic year Schedule: 18 hours per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) Start Date: Immediate Pay Rate: £25 per hour (PAYE) 12.07% holiday pay About the Role We are seeking a qualified and experienced Barbering Lecturer to deliver Level 2 Barbering courses at a reputable further education college in Derbyshire. This temporary position is to cover sickness leave and will continue until the end of the academic year. The college is known for its commitment to vocational excellence and has received a 'Good' rating from Ofsted in all areas, including quality of education, leadership, and personal development. What will you be doing? Delivering engaging and comprehensive Level 2 Barbering instruction to students. Developing lesson plans and instructional materials that meet curriculum standards. Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback. Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students. Who are we looking for? You will hold a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in Barbering. Ideally you will also have a recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent) and previous teaching experience at FE level.
