Vehicle Technician

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Vehicle Technician to join our dynamic team in Brackenfell. The ideal candidate will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing, and repairing a variety of vehicles, ensuring top-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Vehicle Servicing: Perform routine maintenance and servicing on light motor vehicles, SUVs, and 4x4s. Diagnostics: Utilize diagnostic tools to identify and resolve vehicle faults and issues accurately. Repairs: Conduct mechanical repairs, including engine, transmission, suspension, and brake systems. Test Drives: Carry out test drives to ensure vehicles are operating correctly post-service. Tool Maintenance: Maintain personal tools and ensure workshop equipment is used responsibly. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper use of hoists, hydraulic tools, and personal protective equipment. Workshop Upkeep: Keep the work area clean and organized, ensuring tools are stored appropriately after use. Reporting: Provide accurate reports on work performed and parts required for vehicle repairs. Minimum Requirements: Education: Matric / Grade 12 Certificate. Qualifications: Automotive Mechanic Trade Test Certification (mandatory). Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience as a qualified vehicle technician. Licenses: Valid driver's license (Code B or higher). Skills: Proficient in using diagnostic equipment and tools; strong understanding of automotive systems. Preferred Attributes: Brand Experience: Experience with VW, Audi, GWM, or Chery vehicles is advantageous. Technical Proficiency: Ability to accurately diagnose and repair complex vehicle issues. Customer Service: Strong communication skills to explain technical information to clients. Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
