Finance Manager - Manufacturing

This role is responsible for overseeing the full financial function, with an emphasis on cost accounting and financial controls. The Finance Manager will lead a team, streamline financial operations, and provide key insights to support strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will ensure compliance, accuracy, and efficiency across all finance-related processes. Key Responsibilities Manage and develop the finance team to ensure optimal performance Oversee full financial accounting functions including month-end and year-end processes Drive cost accounting and analysis to support operational and pricing decisions Monitor and control budgets, forecasts, and cash flow management Prepare financial reports and provide commentary for management and stakeholders Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and internal policies Manage audits and liaise with auditors and external stakeholders Identify and implement process improvements in financial operations Support production and operations teams with cost tracking and margin analysis Manage fixed asset register and depreciation schedules Oversee inventory valuation and stock control processes Monitor financial KPIs and ensure timely reporting Work closely with senior leadership on financial planning and business strategy Ensure ERP and financial systems are effectively utilised and maintained Provide financial insights to support capital investment and project evaluations Key Attributes Strong leadership and team development skills High attention to detail and accuracy Deadline-driven with strong organisational skills Analytical thinker with a problem-solving mindset Strong interpersonal and communication abilities Requirements BCom in Accounting or equivalent (CIMA/CA(SA) preferred) Minimum 58 years experience in a manufacturing environment Proven experience in cost accounting and financial management Strong ERP and Excel skills Experience in leading a finance team Remuneration R80 000 R100 000 CTC * Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted
