SEND Teaching Assistant

Location: County Durham Job Type: Full-time/Part-time Salary: Competitive, based on experience Start Date: Immediate About the Role: We are looking for a caring and motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with complex needs specialist schools across County Durham. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about making a difference and has experience working with children with physical disabilities, learning difficulties, or communication challenges. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with complex needs. Assist with personal care, mobility, and communication as required. Work closely with teachers and therapists to implement individual education plans (IEPs). Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students. Requirements: Experience working with children with SEN or complex needs is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal skills and a patient, empathetic approach.
