Senior Claims Handler (Commercial & Personal Lines)

Minimum requirements: Immediately available Completed RE5 essential FAIS-compliant qualification (e.g., Higher Certificate in Short-Term Insurance) preferred 5 years' experience in claims handling/administration Commercial & Personal Lines Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proven conflict resolution and negotiation abilities Strong MS Office skills, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook Strong customer service orientation ? Responsibilities Handle the full claims process from registration to finalization for motor and non-motor claims Handle complex and high-value claims within mandate and escalate where necessary Liaise regularly with brokers, insurers, assessors, and internal stakeholders Provide guidance and support to junior claims staff (informal leadership or mentoring) Ensure accurate documentation and file maintenance in line with regulatory and compliance requirements Maintain a high standard of turnaround time and service delivery Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in claims processing Consultant: Jane Scorgie - Dante Personnel Johannesburg
