Data Steward Manager

Key Responsibilities Establish and execute a data governance implementation roadmap with a wide range of cross functional partners across a specific domain, iterating the roadmap based on priorities, learnings and changing regulations. Influence organizational leaders and changing organizational behavior to ensure data governance adoption (from data source systems through consumption). Define roles and responsibilities related to data governance and ensure clear accountability for stewardship of the companys principal information assets. Own the Point of View for domain standards in Data Quality, metadata, lineage, provenance, etc. Partner with data engineering teams to deliver Data Quality checks, Metadata, cataloguing, lineage, etc., while iteratively reinforcing and building upon the longer-term roadmap. Partner with teams across Best Buy to outline the people and processes needed to solve data challenges for compliance, security and regulatory needs. Identify the KPIs and outline key workstreams to successfully deliver data governance capability within the domain. Collaborate with the key business capabilities leaders throughout the domain to define (iterate) RASCIs for populating and maintaining the data catalog and data quality metrics. Maintain an inventory of data products with the ability to track key quality metrics (timeliness, accuracy, completion, etc.) for the domain. Triage, troubleshoot, and resolve data issues within the domain. Requirements 7 years of relevant technical professional experience with a bachelors degreein informatics, Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Finance, or related fields. Including: 4 years working cross functionally and collaboratively with multiple technology and business teams to deliver as one team 4 years of demonstrating advanced knowledge and skills in data and data governance technologies and delivery of technical solutions Experience in partnering with engineering and business teams to determine data quality metrics, metadata, catalogues, etc. Understanding of agile software development practices GCC experience with a US-based company Experience with SQL/Big Query.
