Mammography Technician

Job Title: Mammography Technologist Job Location: New Jersey, NJ Shift: Days Pay: $2,800/ weekly Department: Radiology / Mammography Contract: 3 months (possible extension) Skills Minimum 2 years of experience in mammography Proficient in screening and diagnostic mammography Preferred: Experience with DEXA and biopsy procedures Strong technical accuracy, positioning, and patient care Familiarity with PACS, PenRad, EMR, and breast imaging systems Effective communication and cultural sensitivity Ability to assist in interventional procedures (e.g., stereotactic biopsies, needle localizations) Knowledge of MQSA guidelines and ALARA principles Duties: Perform mammographic exams on in/outpatients per department protocol Ensure all imaging data is correctly labeled and of diagnostic quality Review and verify patient records and documentation before exams Follow National Patient Safety Goals and universal precautions Process and complete imaging cases using PACS and breast reporting systems Maintain equipment, work areas, and inventory of supplies Collaborate with Ultrasound and other departments to manage patient flow Conduct bone density scans and assist in biopsy procedures (if trained) Participate in quality assurance processes and meet MQSA compliance Train and orient new staff as needed Demonstrate professionalism with attendance, communication, and teamwork Education: Required: High School Diploma or equivalent; Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology or Mammography program Certifications & Licensure: ARRT (R) and (M) New Jersey Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License – Mammography Certified BLS Certification Must meet all ECE requirements and maintain a minimum of 200 mammograms in 36 months to comply with MQSA Pride Health offers eligible employee’s comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance and hospital indemnity), 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, , legal support, auto ,home insurance, pet insurance, and employee discounts with preferred vendors.
