Job Description

Requirements Certificate in Information Technology or related fields (NQF 5) Diploma in Information Technology or related fields (NQF 6) - Advantageous Additional certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, or other industry-related certifications) are a plus. 5 years’ experience in a similar role Office 365 experience - Advantageous Computer Literacy (MS Office Suite and job-specific software) Certificate Microsoft Client Operating Systems Endpoint Security Server and Application Backups Responsibilities Cyber Security (20% ) Deploy and maintain endpoint security solutions (anti-virus, anti-malware, intrusion detection/prevention). Monitor systems and networks for security breaches and vulnerabilities. Respond to security incidents and take appropriate measures. Raise awareness about cyber security threats and best practices. Deliver and evaluate cyber security training (e.g., KnowBe4). Ensure regular completion and documentation of cyber security training. Desktops, Laptops, Printers and Videoconferencing (20%) Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware/software for desktops, laptops, and printers. Provide end-user support and training. Perform regular maintenance, updates, and patches. Deploy and monitor Windows updates across the organization. Backups and Disaster Recovery (20%) Ensure backups run as scheduled and monitor backup performance. Regularly test data recovery processes. Provide reports on backup status and resolve issues. Maintain and update backup hardware/software. System Support: Sage Payroll, Register My Battery, Warehouse Scanning (10%) Provide technical support for Sage Payroll, Register My Battery, and warehouse scanning systems. Ensure system uptime and user satisfaction. Compliance and Cost Control (10%) Ensure responsible use of resources and cost-saving initiatives. Maintain compliance with financial and operational procedures. Report risks and areas of concern. Implement corrective actions and ensure housekeeping standards. Customer Service (20%) Build strong relationships with internal and external customers. Solve problems efficiently and uphold company values.
