Power BI Developer - ETL/Tableau

Job Title : Power BI Developer Experience Required : 6 to 10 Years Location : Bangalore Key Responsibilities : - Lead the end-to-end design and development of dashboards and reports using Power BI, SSRS, and Tableau. - Gather business requirements and translate them into visually compelling and insightful reports. - Develop KPIs and metrics tailored to stakeholder needs for operational and strategic decision-making. - Work with diverse data sources including cloud-based data lakes, RDBMS, APIs, and ODBC connections. - Customize Power BI reports with filters, parameters, calculated fields, and advanced visualizations. - Ensure secure data access and implement role-based data controls in reports. - Use Excel macros for automation and ad-hoc reporting. - Prepare and transform data using tools like Power BI Prep. - Maintain report performance and troubleshoot issues effectively. - Support Agile SDLC processes through active sprint participation and delivery management. Required Skills : - 3 -6 years of strong experience with Power BI, MS SSRS, and Tableau. - Proficient in SQL, with a strong grasp of database schema and joins. - Experience building interactive dashboards, including dual-axis, custom charts, and data blending. - Strong understanding of dashboard/reporting design, data visualization best practices, and KPI frameworks. - Experience working with cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and cloud-based data warehouses. - Familiarity with ODBC/API integrations and working with different data connectors. - Hands-on experience with data security concepts in Power BI/SSRS. - Basic understanding of ETL, dimensional modeling, and predictive/descriptive analytics. - Excellent communication, debugging, and problem-solving skills. Nice to Have : - Experience with Power BI Data Extracts, Power BI Prep, and Excel macros. - Exposure to custom charting, action parameters, interactive filters, and drilldowns. - Working knowledge of data governance and compliance in reporting environments.
