In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for defining and guiding the development of our data landscape on GCP. You will leverage your deep understanding of data warehousing principles, cloud data platforms, and GCP services to create innovative and future-proof solutions. Your expertise in data modeling, governance, and security will be crucial in ensuring the integrity, quality, and accessibility of our data : - Data Architecture and Design : Design and develop high-level and detailed data architectures for data warehousing and cloud data platforms on GCP, encompassing data ingestion, storage, processing, and consumption. - GCP Service Expertise : Leverage your strong command of core GCP data services, including BigQuery, Dataflow, Google Cloud Storage (GCS), Service Accounts, and Cloud Functions, to build scalable and cost-effective solutions. - BigQuery Mastery : Demonstrate exceptional proficiency in BigQuery design principles, development best practices, and performance optimization techniques. - Data Management and Governance : Establish and implement data management, governance, and security frameworks and policies to ensure data quality, compliance, and security. - Documentation : Create comprehensive data architecture and design documentation, including conceptual, logical, and physical data models, data flow diagrams, and solution specifications. - Business Analysis : Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their data requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and ensure alignment with business objectives. - Data Modeling : Utilize your proficiency in data modeling tools and techniques to develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models that meet business needs and technical constraints. - End-to-End Solutioning : Architect and design end-to-end data solutions for both batch and real-time data processing scenarios, considering factors such as scalability, performance, and reliability. - Collaboration and Communication : Effectively collaborate with clients, developers, data engineers, and other architecture teams to ensure the successful implementation of enterprise-level data solutions. Clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. - Emerging Trends : Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in data architecture, cloud technologies, and data management practices, including familiarity with Data Fabric and Data Mesh architectures (a : - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Minimum of 10 to 13 years of overall experience in the data domain. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Data Architect role, specifically supporting data warehouse and cloud data Hands-on experience with common GCP services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, GCS, Service Accounts, and Cloud Functions. - Extremely strong in BigQuery design and development. - Extensive knowledge and practical implementation experience in data management, data governance, and data security frameworks. - Proven experience in creating high-level and detailed data architecture and design documentation. - Strong aptitude for business analysis and the ability to understand and document domain data requirements. - Proficiency in Data Modelling using any recognized Modelling tool for creating Conceptual, Logical, and Physical data models is preferred (ref:hirist.tech)
