Mainframe Developer

Job Description: Solid knowledge and hands-on experience with DB2 and SQL . Proficient in writing and debugging COBOL programs. Experience with JCL, CICS, VSAM , and other mainframe tools. Familiarity with IBM MQ for messaging and integration. Strong understanding of SDLC processes on the mainframe platform. Prior experience in supporting clearing business operations . Experience with Central Clearing Party (CCP) connectivity, clearing workflows, and client reporting. Excellent problem-solving skills — able to resolve both minor issues and complex cross-functional challenges. Strong technical expertise with a deep understanding of the supported product and related processes. Exceptional customer service skills, including clear communication, responsiveness, and user support. High attention to detail for documentation, issue tracking, and implementing changes. Ability to multitask effectively — managing technical issues, reports, and participating in development or operations support simultaneously. Good business acumen — understanding of global financial markets, financial products, statements, and reporting. Ability to troubleshoot issues by analyzing data, reading/debugging source code, and collaborating with the product development team to implement fixes. Capability to develop automation tools to optimize and streamline key processes. Provide assistance to users including Operations, Business, and Engineering teams via in-person meetings, calls, emails, and messaging platforms. Maintain a professional and helpful approach to all support requests.
