Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, responsible for organizing, promoting, and communicating sporting and cultural events related to the Winter Games. Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history, involving 13 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities, over an area of 22,000 square km. The organizing committee was established in 2019 to ensure the successful hosting of the Games in accordance with the agreements signed with the IOC, Milano, Cortina, and CONI. It involves partners like the Italian Paralympic Committee, Lombardy and Veneto regions, Trento and Bolzano/Bozen provinces, with support from the Italian Government. Position The Venue Security Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the security of our venues, both competitive and non-competitive. This involves managing operational resources, coordinating, and allocating security personnel before, during, and after the Games. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in physical security, close protection, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in complex environments. Responsibilities include: Infrastructure physical security management: Collaborate with security teams and stakeholders to address venue security needs, understanding the importance of physical security for Olympic and Paralympic events. Staff Allocation and Deployment: Coordinate the deployment of security personnel based on workload, event schedules, and risk profiles, ensuring efficient use of resources while maintaining standards. Monitor staffing levels during events and make adjustments as necessary. Flexibility: Adapt to changing priorities and respond swiftly to emerging security needs. Work closely with the MICO26 SEC Functional Area to align with security KPIs and adaptive needs. Data Analysis and Reporting: Review workforce data regularly, identify trends, and propose adjustments. Prepare reports on staffing levels, utilization, issues, and performance metrics. Requirements Preferred bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Business Administration, or a relevant field. Fluency in English and Italian. Proven experience in medium to large companies or events within security functions. Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making ability. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with security protocols and risk management. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment. Availability for business travel.
