Dental Hygienist

Livingston Dental Group is looking for a Dental Hygienist! We have one opening in our Livingston, NJ office. Position Summary: We are a family oriented dental office seeking a part time hygienist initially for Mondays and Tuesdays with the possibility of adding Wednesdays and Thursdays within 2-3 months. We are looking to hire right away. The right hygienist would have an enthusiastic personality and great patient rapport. If that is you, please apply for our open position! The schedule is as follows: Mon: 12 PM - 7 PM Tues: 8 AM - 5 PM (with 1 hour lunch break) Wed: 8 AM - 5 PM (with 1 hour lunch break) Thurs: 9 AM - 3 PM The great thing about working at our office is we book 1 hour for adult prophies and 1.5 hours for scaling appointments. We never double book hygiene appointments, and we do not participate with any HMO/Medicaid insurances. We also pay your hours , even if you have a patient cancellation during the day. No clocking out! Above all else, w e have a great team — everyone gets along and supports each other. We’re easygoing and friendly, and believe that having fun at work makes all the difference. After 3-6 months of working at our office, we do offer: - Hiring bonus ($3,000) Requirements : Current license to practice Dental Hygiene (Dental Board) in NJ (Required) Current CPR Card and BLS certification (Required) Dentrix System – a preference but not required. Will train if needed. Responsibilities : Prepare and maintain patient treatment rooms, including dental instruments, patient goodie bags, supplies, etc. Obtain and document patient histories, oral health histories, and other dental information (perio charting, needed dental work, etc). Zoom whitening. Will train if needed. Sterilize hygiene instruments and turn over the room. Take necessary x-rays on patients. Discuss oral hygiene instructions. Schedule patients for their next appointments. Inform patients about results of examinations and take scans of their teeth when needed. Job Type : Part-time initially with the opportunity for Full-time Salary : $55.00 per hour Schedule: 8 hour shift
