We are seeking an Associate to join our esteemed Private Client and Charities team. This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality legal services specialising in a mix of high net worth private client work, including advising on wills and trusts, estate and succession planning, personal tax, probate, and powers of attorney. What you will be doing: Provide specialist advice in private client, trust, and tax planning for our private clients, working closely with our corporate tax and property teams. Offer guidance on wills, trusts, gifts, probate, powers of attorney, and personal tax matters (income, capital gains, and inheritance taxes). Resolve issues in trust law and tax planning, promoting initiatives to this end. Master complex regulations and procedures with a keen attention to detail, providing clear, practical, and technically correct advice. Translate clients’ needs into legally effective solutions, providing commercially relevant advice. Support other areas of the practice, such as providing technical support to our professional indemnity team. Technical Skills Required: Proficient IT and keyboard skills, comfortable with MS Office. Familiarity with both online and library research facilities. Commitment to stay up-to-date with legal developments through reading journals and online updates. What we are looking for: Individuals with a basic level of experience in preparing wills, trusts, and related private client documents. Team players who are highly committed, flexible, ambitious, focused, and results-oriented. Effective communicators capable of establishing and maintaining professional relationships with clients and colleagues. Detail-oriented professionals with lateral thinking skills, able to support various disciplines. Willingness to work in our other offices and undertake marketing activities, including seminars and contributions to tenders and pitches. Familiarity with IT, particularly Microsoft Office and ideally case management systems.
