Winemaker

Oversee and manage the entire winemaking process, including fermentation, blending, and maturation. Collaborate closely with the Viticulturist to ensure optimal grape quality and harvest timing. Monitor and adjust wine production processes to achieve desired styles and characteristics. Conduct sensory evaluations and quality control checks at each stage of production. Manage cellar operations, including barrel aging, racking, and bottling. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as industry standards. Develop and experiment with new blends and wine styles that reflect market trends and unique terroir. Maintain meticulous records of production processes and inventory. Represent Wine Estate at tastings, events, and industry functions to promote the brand. Bachelor's degree in Oenology, Viticulture, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of winemaking experience, preferably in a premium wine estate. Strong understanding of viticulture, grape varietals, and wine production methods. Excellent sensory evaluation skills and attention to detail. Leadership skills with the ability to manage cellar teams effectively. Proficiency in modern winemaking equipment and cellar management. Passion for sustainable farming and innovative winemaking techniques.
