Senior Test Engineer - Software Quality Assurance

Role : Senior Test Engineer / Test Lead Experience : 4 - 7 Years Skills : Salesforce Testing (with a strong emphasis on ProVar), CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote), Automation Testing, Financial Services Cloud (FSC) Role Overview : We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Test Engineer / Test Lead to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for leading and executing comprehensive testing strategies for our Salesforce platform, with a strong focus on CPQ, Financial Services Cloud (FSC), and leveraging automation tools, particularly ProVar. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our Salesforce solutions, contributing directly to our business success and customer satisfaction. This role demands a proactive individual with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, capable of both individual contribution and leading testing efforts. Responsibilities : Test Strategy and Planning : - Develop and implement comprehensive test plans, test strategies, and test cases based on project requirements, user stories, and technical specifications, with a strong emphasis on Salesforce (including CPQ and FSC) and automation. Test Execution and Analysis : - Execute functional, integration, regression, and performance testing, with a focus on Salesforce configurations, customizations, CPQ workflows, and FSC functionalities. - Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution. Automation Framework Development and Implementation : - Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable automation frameworks using industry-standard tools, with a strong emphasis on ProVar for Salesforce automation. - Identify test cases suitable for automation and implement efficient automation scripts. CPQ and FSC Expertise : - Apply deep understanding of Salesforce CPQ processes (product configuration, pricing rules, quoting, contract generation) and Financial Services Cloud (data models, workflows, industry-specific functionalities) to develop effective test scenarios. ProVar Proficiency : - Leverage ProVar's capabilities for end-to-end Salesforce testing, including configuration, customization, and data validation. - Develop and maintain ProVar test scripts and integrate them into the overall testing process. Test Data Management : - Plan, create, and manage test data effectively to ensure comprehensive test coverage across various scenarios, particularly within Salesforce CPQ and FSC environments. Defect Management : - Utilize defect tracking tools to log, track, and manage defects throughout the testing lifecycle. - Participate in defect triage meetings and ensure timely resolution of issues. Collaboration and Communication : - Effectively communicate testing progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders, including developers, business analysts, and project managers. - Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a high-quality product delivery. Mentorship and Guidance (for Test Lead aspect) : - Mentor and guide junior test engineers, providing technical expertise and best practices in testing methodologies and automation. - Assist in task allocation and ensure the team meets project timelines and quality standards. Continuous Improvement : - Stay up-to-date with the latest testing methodologies, tools, and Salesforce updates (including CPQ and FSC). - Proactively identify opportunities to improve testing processes and efficiency. Performance Testing : - Participate in performance testing efforts for the Salesforce platform to ensure scalability and responsiveness under various load conditions. Security Testing : - Collaborate with security teams to ensure the Salesforce application meets security standards. Required Skills and Experience : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - Minimum 47 years of experience in software testing, with a significant focus on Salesforce testing. - Proven expertise in testing Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ, and Financial Services Cloud (FSC). - Hands-on experience with ProVar for Salesforce test automation is mandatory. - Strong understanding of Salesforce configuration, customization, and data model. - Experience in designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts using tools like Selenium WebDriver, JUnit, TestNG, or other relevant automation frameworks (in addition to ProVar). - Solid understanding of different testing methodologies (Agile, Waterfall). - Experience with test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, ALM). - Proficiency in defect tracking and reporting. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Strong communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team (ref:hirist.tech)
