Data Security Engineer

Join Walmart Mexico & Central America and protect the data that powers global retail As a Data Security Engineer , you'll be on the front line of data protection—discovering, analyzing, and remediating non-compliant digital assets while building advanced controls to safeguard sensitive information. Key Responsibilities Perform regular scans and audits to identify sensitive data across environments. Use discovery tools to detect non-compliant digital assets. Define and document processes for discovery, containment, notification, and remediation. Develop and implement data security measures and advanced controls. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to remediate findings. Monitor compliance with data security policies, standards, and regulations. Report on data security findings and remediation efforts. Educational Background Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Experience & Technical Skills Experience in cybersecurity risk in data-driven or tech/retail companies. Proficient with data scanning tools and digital asset discovery. Knowledge of: Thales, HSM, Payshield, Cybertrust, Firewalls, Blancco, Data Discovery tools. Preferred certifications: CISSP – Certified Information Systems Security Professional CEH – Certified Ethical Hacker CISM – Certified Information Security Manager Languages Advanced English.
