SKF operates globally, serving various industries with innovative solutions to improve efficiency and reliability Job Summary : We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Sales & Business Development Manager to join our team. In this role, you will build the MX and LAM Industrial Seals Sales team, focus on uncovering new market opportunities and forging strong partnerships with Industrial customers across the market in Mexico and Latin America. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking professional who excels leading teams, relationship building, and crafting strategic initiatives to drive long-term business growth. Key Responsibilities : Sales Strategy & Planning : Develop and implement effective commercial strategies aligned with the company’s business goals. Analyze the Sales unit KPIs, identify improvement opportunities, and create action plans to drive profitability. Team Leadership & Development : Build, lead, motivate, and mentor a high-performing sales team. Provide coaching, training, and ongoing support to improve performance and reach individual and team targets. The Sales and Business Development Manager will build a team of KAM, AE and CS to support the business in Mexico and Latin America. Business Performance & Reporting : Monitor and report on team performance, sales metrics, and the sales unit KPIs (Revenue, Profitability, Net Working Capital). Provide regular updates to senior leadership on sales progress and forecasts. Develop and manage sales budgets, track results, and adjust strategies as necessary to meet business goals. Prepare and submit monthly management reports of new business achievements, activities, opportunities, and targets. Customer Relationship Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and prospects. Work with the team to ensure exceptional customer service and satisfaction, addressing client needs and concerns effectively. New Business Opportunities : Proactively scout for new business opportunities in the industrial distribution sector. Coordinate internal resources and cross-functional teams to effectively support and capitalize on new business opportunities, ensuring that the right expertise is leveraged at every stage of the process. Business Growth Strategy : develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and objectives focusing on our strongholds and strategic initiatives Relationship Building : Act as an ambassador for the company by networking with industry professionals and stakeholders to build valuable, long-term connections that drive future growth. Collaboration : Work closely with internal teams and external partners to align on strategic priorities and accelerate market penetration initiatives. Qualification & Skills: Team leadership experience Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role Strong understanding of the industrial market and its dynamics. Excellent communication, negotiation, networking and interpersonal skills. Self-motivated and execution-focused with an ability to meet/exceed deadlines. Advanced Office 365 skills (PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Power BI). Willingness to travel up to 50% or as needed.
