Job Description Description Radiology candidates who accept a part-time or full-time position with University Hospitals are eligible for: \n \n Competitive hourly rate (elevated hourly rate of $4.25/hour for this position at CMC) \n Enhanced PTO for candidates with 5 years of relevant work experience \n Sign-on bonus ($10,000 for full-time or $5,000 for part-time). \n Tuition reimbursement after six months \n Free parking \n Career Ladder Progression \n \n What You Will Do \n \n To ensure safe and efficient operations of the department. Demonstrates successful patient/technical skills by producing a variety of procedures while maintaining the high standards of patient care. \n Maintains Registry and continuing education requirements of staff if applicable. \n Preserves support for the learning environment of the hospital and the department of diagnostic imaging. \n Contributes to the successful operations of the department through effective communication, coordination and leadership. \n Collaborates effectively with co-workers within the department and throughout the institution to ensure that assignments are completed in a professional and effective manner. \n Displays a commitment to the hospital’s mission and values. \n Provides age-specific care to patients from neonates through geriatrics. \n Coordinates all ACR/ODH duties to ensure yearly inspections and constant compliance with ACR/ODH standards. \n Expert in all areas of ACR/ODH standards, QC testing, procedures and required written documentation, as required for the area of expertise. \n Images patients in their area (s) of credentialing/licensure \n Education of staff and physicians in equipment operations. \n \n Additional Responsibilities \n \n Performs other duties as assigned. \n Complies with all policies and standards. \n For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation. \n Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace. \n Qualifications Education Associate's Degree (Required) or Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology (Required) Work Experience 5 years experience in the area of expertise (Preferred) Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Clear knowledge of Angiographic equipment, image printers, computers, and Radiology Information System, PACS, and Electronic Medical Record, (Required proficiency) Excellent knowledge of image and exam protocols. Proficiencies for instructing students and new staff. (Required proficiency) Proficiency in providing physician support for interventional procedures. (Required proficiency) Must demonstrate effective organizational, written, and oral communication skills. (Required proficiency) Ability to act as a lead when supervisor is unavailable (Required proficiency) Excellent customer service skills (Required proficiency) Ability to work independently (Required proficiency) Strong knowledge of surgical procedure coding (Required proficiency) Licenses and Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) Upon Hire (Required) Registered (RT) American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (Required) and Certified Vascular Technologist Registry or Equivalent (CVT) (Required) Physical Demands Standing Frequently Walking Frequently Sitting Rarely Lifting Frequently 50 lbs Carrying Frequently 50 lbs Pushing Frequently 50 lbs Pulling Frequently 50 lbs Climbing Occasionally 50 lbs Balancing Occasionally Stooping Frequently Kneeling Frequently Crouching Frequently Crawling Occasionally Reaching Frequently Handling Frequently Grasping Frequently Feeling Constantly Talking Constantly Hearing Constantly Repetitive Motions Constantly Eye/Hand/Foot Coordination Constantly Travel Requirements 10%
