Position: Flexible Sous Chef (Temporary Contract) Location: * AWE Aldermaston, Reading, RG7 4PE * AWE Balfour Beatty Hub, Aldermaston, Reading RG7 4PR * AWE Burghfield, Reading, RG30 3RR Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM Salary: £16 to £18 per hour (depending on experience) Contract Type: Temporary About the Role: Contract Options are currently looking for a highly motivated and experienced Sous Chef to join our team on a flexible, temporary basis. You will be required to work across three different locations, ensuring high standards of food preparation, presentation, and service. Key Responsibilities: * Prepare and cook high-quality meals in a timely and professional manner * Oversee kitchen operations, managing staff and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards * Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and inventory management * Supervise and support junior kitchen staff, ensuring they are trained and maintain high standards * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment * Ensure compliance with food hygiene standards * Flexibility to work across all three locations as required Requirements: * Proven experience as a Sous Chef, with a strong culinary background * British nationality (due to site regulations) * Basic DBS check (due to site requirements) * UK driving licence (essential for travel between locations) * Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively * Strong communication and leadership skills * Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Benefits: * Competitive hourly pay rate of £16 to £18 per hour * Flexibility in working hours (Monday to Friday, 7am-3pm) * Opportunity to work in varied and dynamic locations INDHS
