Primary Teacher KS1 Contract Type: Full-Time, Temporary Location: Portsmouth Pay: £160 to £250 dependent on experience Start Date: September 25 to May 26 - Fixed term Whats the job? Excellent communicator. Creative, patient, empathetic nature. Enthusiastic about working with young children. A strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and best teaching practices. Experience teaching in a primary school setting. QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification. What are your responsibilities? Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum. Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting positive behaviour and encouraging active participation. Ensure pupil safety and well-being, supporting their social and emotional development. Engage in ongoing professional development and apply best practices to improve teaching. Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning needs. Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to support individual goals. Build strong relationships with parents, providing progress updates and attending meetings.
