HGV Class 2 Delivery Driver

Driver Hire Southampton is currently recruiting a reliable and experienced Class 2 Driver to join our client, delivering plant machinery to and from customer sites across the Hampshire and South Coast area. About the Role: Position : 12-week temp-to-perm Working Days : Monday to Friday Hours : 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM Key Responsibilities : Deliver and collect plant machinery to/from customer sites Load and unload the vehicle, ensuring equipment is safely secured Perform daily vehicle checks to maintain high safety standards What We're Looking for: A Full UK Class 2 Driving licence Valid CPC and Digi Tacho cards Licence held for a minimum of 1 year Experience with safely loading, unloading, and securing mobile plant machinery Strong strapping and chaining skills Excellent customer service and communication abilities Ability to maintain the vehicle to a high standard and perform regular checks to ensure roadworthiness Benefits of Working for Driver Hire Southampton: Weekly Pay Choice of PAYE or PAYE Advanced payment options Opportunity to secure a permanent position after 12 weeks (subject to performance) Training courses provided by our client 24/7 support from our dedicated in-house team Onsite parking Opportunities for CPC and licence upgrades with Driver Hire Training No weekend work!
