Job Description
We’re looking for someone with a genuine love for animals to work with us. Assistant Store Manager - Key Responsibilities You'll be in charge of making sure our store runs smoothly and is a great place for both our team and our customers. Here's what you'll do: 1. Oversee daily store operations: Keep the store running efficiently from open to close. 2. Lead and motivate the team: Guide, train, and inspire sales staff and groomers to achieve goals and provide great service. 3. Provide excellent customer service: Help customers directly, understand their needs, and handle inquiries or complaints. 4. Manage inventory: Handle stock counting, ordering, receiving, and unpacking. 5. Maintain store appearance: Keep the store clean, organized, and visually appealing. 6. Handle sales transactions: Operate the cash register and manage sales processes. 7. Lead by example: Be a role model for the team on the shop floor. 8. Manage grooming services: Oversee grooming appointments and work closely with groomers. 9. Develop and implement action plans: Create strategies to improve store performance and sales. 10. Manage staff: Recruit, train, evaluate, and ensure the team follows company policies. What you'll need: * Experience managing a team in a retail setting is a big plus, especially if it's in pet care. * A real love for animals and knowledge about pet products is a huge advantage. * Strong skills in leading and managing a team. * Great communication skills. * Ability to look at sales numbers and create plans. * Be organized and able to handle multiple tasks.
