Job Description Skills : - QA Testing Methodologies : Solid understanding and practical application of various QA testing methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall. - Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) : Comprehensive understanding of the different phases of the SDLC and the QA role within each phase. - Software Test Life Cycle (STLC) : Thorough knowledge of the STLC, including test planning, test design, test execution, and test closure. - Defect Life Cycle : Understanding of the defect life cycle, including defect identification, logging, tracking, and resolution. - System Testing : Experience in planning and executing system testing to evaluate the overall functionality and behavior of the integrated system. - Integration Testing : Proven ability to design and execute integration testing to verify the interaction and data flow between different software modules or components. - Regression Testing : Experience in identifying and executing regression tests to ensure that new changes or bug fixes do not negatively impact existing functionality. - Functional Testing : Strong skills in understanding functional requirements and designing and executing test cases to verify that the software performs as expected. - User Acceptance Testing (UAT) : Familiarity with the principles and processes involved in supporting and facilitating User Acceptance Testing. - Web Application Testing : Hands-on experience in testing web applications, including functionality, usability, performance, and security aspects. - Database Testing : Ability to perform basic database testing, including verifying data integrity and validating data against application requirements. - Test Plan Creation : Experience in developing comprehensive and well-structured test plans outlining the scope, objectives, resources, and schedule of testing activities. - Test Case Execution : Proven ability to execute test cases efficiently and accurately, documenting the results and identifying any deviations. - Defect Management : Proficient in identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects using defect management tools (e.g., Jira, : - Participate in the review of requirements and design specifications to provide timely and meaningful feedback. - Develop detailed and well-structured test plans and test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements. - Execute test cases and accurately record test results. - Identify, document, and track software defects using defect management tools, providing clear and concise information for developers. - Perform various types of testing, including system, integration, regression, functional, and usability testing. - Participate in regression testing efforts to ensure the stability of the software after changes or bug fixes. - Collaborate closely with developers and other team members to understand and resolve defects. - Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies. - Assist in the preparation of test reports and summaries. - Participate in UAT support and defect Skills (Good to Have) : - Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress). - Familiarity with performance testing concepts and tools. - Basic understanding of API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger). - Experience working in an Agile development environment. - Knowledge of specific industry standards or regulations relevant to our domain (ref:hirist.tech)
