Staff Electrical Engineer

Job Description Job Description Our client is searching for a Staff Electrical Engineer to join their team. As a part of the engineering team, you will have the opportunity to see products through from the engineering prototype phase to production. This includes generator docking stations, switchboards, control panels, and other automation and control-based power solutions. In this role, you will: Define, design, prototype, develop, and commercialize a France of products including temporary generator docking stations, UL-891 and UL -1558 compliant switchboards, automatic transfer switches, and more. Design schematics and one-line documents, and specify required equipment for multi-layer power distribution systems. Provide technical mentorship and guidance to design engineers, test technicians, and assembly personnel. To succeed in this role, you have: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or an equivalent. 10 years pf experience in electrical system/product design. Proficiency with electrical design software such as AutoCAD Electrical. SolidWorks Electrical, E-Plan, and others. Experience defining electrical specifications for power distribution offeringsincluding switchgear, switchboards, transfer switches, andgenerators. Experience with creation of detailed technical product documentation to supportproduct manufacturing,functional testing, certification testing, and customerrequests. Ability to specify safe and effective testing practices for powered producttesting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate withcross-functional teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. NFPA 70E Certification. Experience with UL891, UL1558, UL508, UL1008, and others. Medium voltage product design experience. The base salary range for this role is $145,000 to $165,000 annually.
