Job Description Job Description Job Title: Shipping Clerk Job Description The role involves a 10-hour shift from 12:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday to Thursday. This position is responsible for the set up and operation of equipment which blends, mixes, packages, and transports liquid or dry chemicals that comprise our customer products. The role ensures the highest quality product at the lowest possible cost while meeting customer specifications and delivery requirements following company policies and procedures. Responsibilities Set up, start, and run all machinery, checking all controls for adherence to operating and safety procedures as well as ISO standards. Weigh ingredients to meet recipe specifications and insert them into machinery, or ensure the correct ingredients are delivered to the work area and insert pre-blended materials into machinery. Monitor production and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Troubleshoot equipment and processing issues. Operate machinery to mix, extrude/discharge, or handle materials according to operating procedures. Examine materials visually or physically to ensure conformance with established standards. Take samples of materials to the lab for evaluation and instructions on any batch adjustments if needed. Refer issues/problems to the Production Lead or Production/Shift Supervisor for resolution. Perform all required machine cleaning. Complete and maintain all required system inputs/transactions, ensuring data integrity. Document work completed as required including logs, data reports, procedures, etc. Essential Skills At least one year of production experience working in a manufacturing plant doing some sort of mixing, blending, batching, or production of powdered or liquid parts. This can be from any industry. Valid Driver’s License and good driving record. US High School diploma, GED equivalency, or relevant experience. Computer literate. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with GMP, quality control, shipping and receiving, and machine operation. Proficiency in using SAP and warehouse management systems. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment involves frequent exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, dust, fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level can be loud. This position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds and be able to lift, push, or pull up to 200 lbs. with the aid of equipment.
