Job Description Job Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Assistant to join our team in Davie, Florida. In this Contract-to-permanent position, you will play a key role in managing inventory, coordinating shipments, and ensuring seamless logistics operations. This opportunity is ideal for someone who is highly organized, proactive, and eager to contribute to an efficient supply chain. Responsibilities: • Receive and inspect incoming shipments to confirm accuracy against shipping documents and records. • Organize and maintain inventory storage areas to ensure easy access and accurate tracking of materials. • Identify and address discrepancies in shipments, storage, or receiving processes. • Prepare and package materials for shipping, including labeling and completing necessary documentation. • Generate shipping documents such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders. • Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries, ensuring timely transportation. • Monitor shipments to track delivery progress and resolve any issues that arise. • Maintain detailed records of shipments, including weights, charges, and any discrepancies. • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve logistical concerns. • Assist with general administrative tasks, such as answering calls and preparing correspondence as needed.• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in inventory management and documentation. • Excellent organizational skills to maintain a well-structured workspace and inventory system. • Effective communication skills for interacting with internal teams, customers, and shipping carriers. • Proficiency in using computer software for tracking shipments, labeling, and administrative tasks. • Problem-solving abilities to address and resolve discrepancies or logistical challenges. • Ability to perform light physical tasks, such as lifting and moving items up to 10 pounds. • Familiarity with shipping processes, including documentation and carrier coordination. • Previous experience with clerical tasks, shipping, or inventory management is a plus.
