About the opportunity: Position: Clinical Director - Cardiology Vacancy: Fixed term temporary full-time or part-time, up to three years ( Please note, a permanent substantive position as a Staff Specialist Cardiologist may be negotiable for the successful candidate) Location: Townsville University Hospital The role of the Director of Cardiology is to provide high quality clinical and non-clinical services to benefit the patients / clients of the THHS. This includes research as well as teaching the health professionals of the future. Enjoy a generous remuneration package value up to $536,916 p.a. comprising: Salary range: $8062.00 to $10,221.70 p.f. or $100.78 to $127.77 p.h. Requirements: MBBS or equivalent qualification Fellowship of the Royal Australiasian College of Physicians (or equivilant qualifications) Electrophysiology and pacing training consistent with Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand guidelines AND/OR Advanced clinical experience in Cardiology, expertise in echocardiography including transthoracic echo, Transesophageal echo, Stress echocardiography and 3D Echocardiography. All applicants must be awarded SoCP by the THHS Credentialing and SoCP committee This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis. Probation period may apply. Pre-employment checks will be conducted including criminal history clearance.
