Discover Your Next Role As a Logistics Officer at Wilmar Sugar & Renewables, you will work closely with the Cane Supply Manager to develop business plans, set goals, and strategise for the Cane Supply and Transport division. You will serve as a key point of contact for all stakeholders in the Cane Supply Chain, assisting in the coordination of the daily delivery of factory cane supply. This position will be based at Victoria Mill in the Herbert region, renowned for its lush landscapes, fertile farmland, and coastal beauty. The Herbert Region is home to a vibrant community, rich cultural heritage, and stunning natural attractions, including rainforests, waterfalls, and beaches, making it a desirable destination to live and work. Your Role in Action Supervision of Employees in Locomotive Operations: Oversee and manage employees within the locomotive operations, ensuring they are performing to standard and following safety protocolsConsistent Visibility Across the Network: Maintain regular presence and visibility across the network, ensuring smooth operations, addressing issues promptly, and providing support to staff as neededAssist in the Development and Implementation of Operational Improvement Plans (OIPs): Support the creation and execution of Operational Improvement Plans (OIPs) for the Cane Supply and Transport System, ensuring continuous system enhancements and efficiencyOversee the Harvest Management System (HMS): Take responsibility for managing and overseeing the Harvest Management System (HMS), ensuring effective monitoring and coordination of harvest activitiesMaintain Dependable Operational Data for Cane Productivity Systems: Ensure the accurate and reliable maintenance of operational data for cane productivity systems, supporting data-driven decision-making and operational improvementsBuild and Maintain Strong Relationships with Growers and the Harvesting Sector: Develop and sustain strong working relationships with growers and the harvesting sector, ensuring adherence to cane supply contract conditions and promoting positive collaborationPromote a Collaborative Working Environment: Foster a culture of open communication, information sharing, and performance feedback within Wilmar and across other industry stakeholders, encouraging teamwork and continuous improvementPrioritise Safety and Environmental Responsibility: Actively contribute to a safe working environment by prioritizing the safety of yourself and others, while also upholding environmental responsibility in all activities Your Winning Combination Our ideal candidate will have qualifications in Commerce, Logistics, Agricultural Engineering, or relevant practical industry experience. While prior experience in the sugar industry or cane supply sector is highly desirable, it is not essential. Familiarity with GIS (Geographic Information System) mapping software and proficiency in Microsoft Office would also be advantageous.
