How We Make an Impact Recovery Station provides community and clinic based allied health services, with a strong focus on disability and senior health. For 20 years we have consistently grown and now proudly offer services nationally via telepractice and in the community across Sydney, the Hunter, Central Coast, Illawarra and Melbourne. Together, our passionate, multidisciplinary team of Exercise Physiologists, Dietitians, Physiotherapists, OTs, Mental Health OT’s, Psychologists, Speech Pathologists, and Allied Health Assistants collaboratively share their knowledge and experience to holistically design an individualised service to help improve the quality of life for people living with a disability or looking to age as independently as possible. Your Day to Day This role will join a team of EP's and Physio's to service a caseload around Newcastle/ Lake Macquarie. You can see clients and catch up with team mates in our Toronto clinic as well as work from home . You can join us part-time 2-3 days/week. Working in a community role means you get the flexibility to see clients where they're comfortable so you can work together towards the goals most meaningful to them. Day to day will get the diverse range of experiences that come from conducting appointments in our clinic, group homes, aged care facilities or out at the house of the client or their local gym, pool or park. You will assist a range of clients living with a disability, neurological conditions or looking to age as gracefully and independently as possible. The majority are funded under the NDIS, Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA) and community aged care packages. Your compassionate nature and enjoyment of helping others will assist people achieve independence, improved quality of life and safety to live life to the fullest. You'll be supported to deliver: A range of comprehensive assessments Individual and group sessions Falls prevention and rehabilitation initiatives Home exercise programs to improve mobility or assist weight loss or weight gain Education programs e.g. exercise for chronic disease Our services can encompass active rehabilitation, conditioning, neuro, aquatic therapy and more. To be considered for this role you must be registered with ESSA, possess current First Aid & CPR, a driver’s licence with access to your own reliable vehicle and be willing to obtain a Working with Children Check and NDIS Workers Screening. Remuneration that matches your experience plus the option to stretch for RDO’s and financial bonuses if you choose We trust you to work from home , or in the office, via telehealth and we give you a laptop and pay a phone/ data allowance to support this You will be assisted daily by a member of our administrative team whose role is dedicated to ensuring you travel as efficiently between appointments and compliance pieces such as setting up and adjusting funding plans. Travel is reimbursed at $0.99/km. Previously we've gone to mini golf, ten pin bowling, wheelchair basketball, made dumplings, candles and gingerbread houses, painted and celebrated important dates such as International Women's Day and mental health month and many others From a professional development perspective: You will receive a thorough orientation consisting of in-house time in-field shadowing days with your Supervisor Ongoing one on one meetings with your Supervisor to design your personal learning plan, which will be a roadmap to help you achieve your goals as a clinician eg doing a course such as PD Warrior or moving into a leadership role Your one on ones will be complimented with team meetings with your fellow EP's and Physios so you can learn during in-service sessions, share ideas, resources and stay abreast of any industry updates We love facilitating development pathways for clinicians seeking career progression and added responsibility via either supervising students/ grads/ junior staff, increased complexity of caseload or involvement in management procedures depending on what avenue you'd like to explore Two days paid CPD leave per annum Formal and informal liaison opportunities with other members of our MDT to broaden your clinical knowledge and provide holistic care to our clients Companywide training day where we bring the entire business together (130) and invite external presenters to provide unique, tailored CPD for each discipline based on your requests The Next Steps We hope the above has moved you to want to learn more about us, our mission and how you could add your uniqueness to our team.
