Contractor – Corporate Archivist

Role: Corporate Archivist (Temporary, Part-Time) Duration: Estimated 24 months Hours: Approximately 20 hours/week (negotiable) Location: Onsite, Oakland, CA Start Date: July 2025 Focus: Expanding and managing the corporate archive, including digitization and electronic management. Essential Responsibilities: Develop and maintain archive policies and procedures. Catalog and digitize assets using an archive management system. Respond to archive inquiries and conduct research. Administer the archive management system and external historical website. Proactively drive asset collection with internal partners. Identify and acquire new assets, and manage asset retention/purging. Conduct ongoing scope review of new assets. Required Qualifications: 5 years of business archive experience. Strong knowledge of electronic records management and archive management systems. Excellent written communication and research skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Knowledge of metadata standards. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Degree in archival practices or comparable preferred.
