Job Description
Clinical Oncology Pharmacist Salary Range: 115K-170K Sign on Bonus and Relocation Assistance Offered POSITION PURPOSE: Provides specialized clinical oncology pharmacy services to patients in designated specialty patient care areas and coordinates these services with other healthcare practitioners. Performs duties of a staff pharmacist as required. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Manages drug therapy treatment plans and protocols as a part of an interdisciplinary team. Reviews, interprets, monitors, and evaluates medication orders to identify, prevent, and resolve potential or actual drug related problems. Provides drug information and education to medical staff and patients. Documents interventions and their outcomes for use in drug therapy quality improvement efforts. Review, assess, and assist in maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. Assist pharmacy buyer in maintaining oncology drug inventory and help navigate drug shortages. Consults with other department directors, hospital administration and other hospital personnel as necessary or designated by the director.
