Job Description: Housing Breach of Contract Fee Earner Based in: Manchester or Liverpool Background Antony Hodari Solicitors has been established for over 40 years, having offices in both Manchester City Centre and Liverpool City Centre, and specialise in Housing Litigation for clients throughout the UK. The Role You will play a vital role within an established department, using high quality case management processes. We are looking for people who are committed to effective and proactive conduct of cases. Target driven and ensuring we deliver the highest standards of client care, we require fee earners to enforce settlement agreements and ensure agreed repair works are carried out following the settlement of the client’s disrepair claim. This is a critical stage for our clients, and we are keen to ensure we deliver. It is an excellent opportunity to enter housing litigation for those from a wider litigation background such as personal injury or credit hire. Advocacy experience would be a major asset, as would any team management. Main Responsibilities (not exhaustive) To represent the firm in a professional and proactive manner To utilise robust processes to proactively progress cases, conduct frequent client care reviews and efficient management of cases Exercise high standard of client care in a professional and pleasant manner To liaise with clients and ensure agreed work is carried out To arrange post inspection of the property To take witness statements where necessary To draft part 8 proceedings and / or applications for breach of agreement Liasing with Counsel and preparing instructions to counsel Undertake telephone hearings for those experienced Potential team management To comply with the Solicitors Code of Conduct To share best practice and latest developments in the law with colleagues and peers To be responsible for the co ordination of tasks To be responsible for progression of own caseload To take responsibility for self development including keeping up to date with all aspects of relevant laws and procedures To assist in highlighting system developments and efficiencies To undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required Personal Skills Excellent inter-personal skills and customer service skills Excellent telephone manner Confident and dynamic Highly organised and self-motivated; able to work independently and as part of a team Highly IT literate Experience Knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules Knowledge of Breach of Contract process 4 years volume litigation experience (Grade C and above) Case Management Systems (Proclaim is used) experience would be advantageous but not essential Package Competitive salary target driven bonus 25 days holiday plus bank holidays plus birthday 6% contributory pension Hybrid working arrangements Flexible working (after positive probation period)
