Process Operator in Training (Crushing Operator)

As a Crushing Operator in Training you will enjoy hands on training, with a variety of tasks and exposure to some of the challenges that come with producing Raw Sugar. The aim of this fixed term contract is to gain valuable job knowledge and become experienced in our operational teams. A Crushing Operator at Wilmar Sugar & Renewables, you'll be responsible for the efficient operation of our milling train. This role works closely with tradespeople, other operators and Mill management. This position will be based in North Queensland's Burdekin region, known for its stunning landscapes, rich agricultural heritage, and a vibrant community. Your Role in Action Smooth Operator: Monitor the Juice Circuit (including but not limited to turbines, alternators, gearing, bearings, oil pressures and temperatures) to ensure crushing of the cane is efficient and productive.System Specialist: Conduct station operations using a complex computer interface.Fix-It Force: Identify leaks, process problems and report to the supervisor in accordance with relevant procedures.Housekeeping Hero: Maintain excellent housekeeping practices around the shredder, milling train turbines and platforms to ensure a safe work environment.Efficiency Enforcer: Perform regular maintenance to ensure efficient and smooth running of the milling train and assist tradespeople when required. Your Winning Combination Our ideal applicant will have a High-Risk Work License for Turbine, Confined Space Entry and Working Safely at Height competency or be willing and able to achieve them.
