About The Barwon Early Parenting Centre Recently opened the Barwon Early Parenting Centre will provide specialist support and deliver flexible, targeted services for families with children 0–4 years old. The centre aims to enhance the parent-child relationship and support parents with strategies for achieving their parenting goals. These goals are often in areas such as sleep and settling, child behaviour, and parent and child health and wellbeing. These goals are achieved through structured programs that vary from residential, day stay and in-home support. Programs include: psychosocial, physical and developmental assessmentsparenting educationcounsellingskills developmentplay-based activitiesmodelling effective behaviours The Barwon Early Parenting Centre is located within the McKellar Centre precinct on Ballarat Road in North Geelong. About The Role The Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) provides delegation and supervision and support to those of shift - Early Parenting Practitioners, Registered Nurses and other and other support staff, in ensure the delivery of early parenting services to families is meeting the needs of the consumer. In addition, they ensure effective and efficient utilisation of resources in the provision and delivery of high quality parenting service to mothers, fathers, parents, carers, families and their children and deliver early parenting programs that meet staff, client and stakeholders’ objectives. The position supports the smooth operation of the EPC’s services through provision of high quality Nursing, Allied Health and Medical care.
