IT Desktop Support Technician

DUTT Transport is a privately owned leading national provider of specialised fixtures, fittings and equipment solutions. DUTT has depots and vehicles in all states of the mainland to enable the provision of high-quality services on an end-to-end basis across transportation, container receipt, storage, warehouse pick and pack, project management, supervision and on-site services. Our head office is in Kilsyth, Melbourne where this role will be based. Your new role This Desktop Support role will report to the IT Manager who is undertaking several IT project initiatives and requires an active and hands on support person to support several departments across the business: local and interstate. The role will interact with many teams and personnel both internal and external to the business. The main responsibilities of the role will initially include: General IT support as required for all users across the network, Regular checks of systems/software, adding/deleting/modifying user account information, resetting passwords and undertaking performance tuning, Set up and deployment of workstations and all mobile devices, Sourcing of IT hardware as required, Creation of user guides and technical documentation as required, Preparation and scheduling of various system reports, and Ad hoc projects from time to time. The candidate It is envisaged that the suitable candidate will have some relevant and recent IT software and hardware experience gained in a small to medium sized business. The suitable candidate may have recently completed university studies or come with some corporate sector experience. The successful candidate will have a positive ‘can do’ attitude, show attention to detail in getting the tasks of the job completed in a timely and accurate manner and have the ability to build strong relationships with all people inside and outside of the business.
