Senior Auditor About the Role and Our Client: We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Internal Auditor to join a dynamic internal audit team. This position plays a key role in leading risk-based audit engagements, improving internal controls, and partnering with management to support compliance and process improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Lead or participate in audits focused on operations, finance, and compliance Review audit work completed by others and provide constructive feedback Assist in identifying risk areas and support the development of the audit plan Evaluate the design and effectiveness of internal processes and controls Help develop and refine internal audit procedures and documentation standards Perform testing to assess compliance with internal and external requirements Work closely with business units to understand operations and support improvement initiatives Assist with periodic inventory checks and support external audit needs Prepare clear, concise reports summarizing findings and recommendations Take part in special projects and cross-functional reviews as needed Qualifications: Minimum of four years of audit experience, including knowledge of internal controls and risk management Strong understanding of GAAP, SOX compliance Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with SAP preferred Ability to analyze data, solve problems, and communicate findings clearly Excellent organizational and time management skills Able to work independently and collaborate across departments Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field Preferred: CPA, CIA, CFE certification or willingness to pursue Location & Compensation: Hybrid role in Kent, Ohio Salary range: $75k-$90k depending on experience Opportunities for advancement Competitive benefits package Employee-owned company with stock purchase options Supportive team environment and ongoing career development growth development accounting SOX
