Travel Nuclear Medicine Tech - $2,757 per week in Alexandria, VA

Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Specialty: Non-Fairfax Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week Experience: 2 years experience required; hospital experience is a plus. License: Active VA State license required. Certifications: AHA BLS, ARRT(N) or NMTCB certifications required. Must-Have: - Ability to start IVs. - Experience with stress testing, particularly Cardiac Nuclear Stress, Lexi scans, and MPI. - Familiarity with using a Nemesis machine and managing isotopes. Job Description: - Perform various nuclear medicine imaging and studies with a high emphasis on cardiac imaging. - Conduct stress testing, including Cardiac Nuclear Stress, MPI, and MUGA. - Manage isotopes: accept delivery, log in Nemesis machine, track doses and activity levels. - Serve as the sole Nuclear Medicine Technologist after orientation. - No floating to other areas; focus solely on Nuclear Medicine. - Utilize EPIC for EMR and Visage for PACS. - Operate Cardio MD gamma camera system. - Collaborate with an in-house cardiologist and nurse practitioner during procedures. - Participate in unit-specific training; duration depends on experience. - Deliver excellent customer service to maintain the site’s reputation for outstanding patient rapport and satisfaction.
