Job Title: MRI Technologist Profession: MRI Technologist Specialty: - Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 2nd shift Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum years of experience required - TBD License: Required certifications in radiologic technology Certifications: - ARRT registered - Advanced certification through ARRT in ARRT-MR is required within 18 months of hire - BLS certified within 90 days of hire Must-Have: - Ability and demonstrated competence in IV insertion and contrast injection - Ability to assimilate new procedures into work routine Description: Performs MRI studies under the direction of a radiologist and oversight of a senior MRI Technologist. Interacts with imaging staff, nursing, physicians, patients, and visitors. Acts as a resource person for MRI technical and other issues. Demonstrates competence according to specific guidelines and prescribed protocols. Operates MRI and related equipment. Prepares scan room equipment, supplies, and medications. Maintains images and archives associated with patient data. Completes other duties as assigned.
