Overview of the Staff Accountant Role: As a Staff Accountant , you'll play a critical role in managing the financial health of our organization. You'll oversee and monitor financial aspects of grants, ensuring compliance and accurate reporting. Your expertise will directly contribute to our mission of community outreach and making a lasting impact. Key Responsibilities for the Staff Accountant: Monitor and manage the financial aspects of grants, including budgeting, reporting, and compliance to ensure funds are used effectively. Prepare and submit timely and accurate financial reports to grantors, ensuring transparency and accountability. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for both internal and external stakeholders, providing crucial insights into the organization's financial performance. Assist with audit preparations, providing necessary documentation and support to ensure a smooth and successful audit process. Preferred Qualifications for the Staff Accountant: At least 2 years of hands-on accounting experience in a similar role. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred, but not required. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
