Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg - $1,894 per week in Winston Salem, NC

Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: MS/Tele - Neuroscience Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night, 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15) Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours only Experience: Minimum of 2 years required. Must have at least 1 year of travel experience, with 2 years of previous travel experience preferred. Med/Surg experience is necessary. License: NC or Compact license required at the time of start. Certifications: BCLS and NIHSS required; ACLS preferred but not required. Must-Have: - IV Start and Telemetry skills - Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias - Med/Surg neuro experience - Experience working in a hospital setting with a focus on stroke, possible neurosurgery, epilepsy, traumatic and non-traumatic subdural hematomas, and other neuro diagnoses Job Description: - RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be adjusted onsite. Call-offs or additional RTO may result in a cancel or "Do Not Return" (DNR) status. - Frequent floating may be required to any other MS/Tele areas, which may include COVID care units. - Travelers are required to work every other weekend. If a scheduled weekend shift is missed, it must be made up based on unit needs. - The unit features a 4-bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) at an intermediate level, primarily caring for stroke patients with a daily census of 42 and 43 rooms/beds. - Travelers cannot work more than 5 consecutive days or more than 60 hours in a week. - If a traveler misses a shift, they are expected to make up that day within the same week or at the end of their contract. - The facility uses PYXIS, EPIC, and SBAR systems. - Navy scrubs are required. - A maximum of 7 days of RTO is allowed and automatically approved unless falling on a holiday. Extended RTO requires approval. - Flexibility in floating between units and comfort in adapting to various settings within the facility is required. - Orientation of 36 hours is provided, with 8 hours of non-billable modules to be completed pre-start.
