Job Description Job Description Job Title: Clinical Nurse Supervisor - Ambulatory Care Schedule: M-F 8-5 Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Clinical Nurse Supervisor to lead and support a team across multiple clinical service lines including Pediatrics, OB/GYN, Plastic Surgery, Women's Health, and Ambulatory Care. This role is ideal for a motivated Registered Nurse who thrives in a leadership position and is committed to patient-centered excellence, quality improvement, and staff development. Key Responsibilities: Provide leadership, direction, and oversight to clinical staff in assigned departments. Supervise day-to-day clinical operations, including huddles, workflows, staffing, and documentation. Promote a safe, cooperative, and professional healthcare environment aligned with regulatory standards. Mentor and train clinical staff; assess competencies and coordinate annual evaluations. Ensure compliance with quality initiatives, infection control, and hospital policies. Monitor and manage budgets, supply orders, and clinical scheduling. Ensure accurate documentation and appropriate patient education by clinical staff. Collaborate with physicians and leadership to develop and improve patient care plans. Actively participate in performance improvement, disciplinary processes, and patient experience initiatives. Manage clinic workflows and monitor EPIC in-basket messages, work queues, and reporting tools. Place and follow up on IT and maintenance tickets as needed. Leadership and Communication: Promote open communication, team collaboration, and professional development. Act as a liaison between clinical staff and hospital leadership. Resolve staff and patient issues with professionalism and empathy. Support compliance with hospital and regulatory agency rules and standards. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related clinical field required. Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license. Proficiency in clinical workflows, electronic medical records (preferably EPIC), and regulatory compliance. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Detail-oriented, accountable, and adaptable in a dynamic healthcare environment.
